Hi All,
I'm going to write down a HLD for our customer
in order to let the streaming of  7digital tracks and releases by Android App.
We need to know the list of 7Digital Api that we can call in order to stream the music,
should it be possible to have a document that describes  7 digital api used for streaming scope?
We discovered on internet that it's possible to use for streaming the api "track/stream" that is not described in
7digital ufficial documetation (http://api.7digital.com/1.2/static/documentation/7digitalpublicapi.html#top).
So it'll be indeed welcomed to have a complete documentation about the streaming api.
                                            thanks in advance, Giovanni Sorrentino

Hi Giovanni

Here's the current streaming methods:

These include radio style catalogue access, locker streams, and subscription streaming. To use any of them, you'll need to contact our sales department and they can help you determine which is best for your situation and start looking at licensing requirements:  sa...@7digital.com

Hope that helps.

Darrell

Hi Darrell,
thanks for your quick answer. I do hope that I can take advantage of your avalaibility.
For my understanding, the correct sequences of messages needed to play a subscription play list should be the following:
first of all the client should send the  user/subscription/log api in order to inform 7digital about the list of tracks that the customer wants to play (contained in the playlist)
Then the client should send the stream/subscription  to play the playlist.
Could you  please confirm this scenario?
As far as I understand we have only one playlist for each device of an user, since we don't see any way to identify a playlist in the system for a given user except the userAgent field.
>Thanks again
Best Regards
Giovanni

Hi Giovanni,

Actually, you can call the /stream/subscription endpoint with any track id from our system (retrieved through our catalogue or feeds system), assuming the user in question has a valid subscription.

You'd call the /user/subscription/log endpoint after the fact, and usually batched every 30 minutes to an hour. The log call is simply to tell us what was played, when, and for how long. Due to local client caching there's no way for us to know this. These details factor into reporting for the record label and how much is owed.

These details are usually worked out in the legal documents.

Thanks,
Darrell
