Recent releases sorted by release date

Is it possible to get a set of recent releases sorted by releaseDate (or streamingReleaseDate). The current release/chart
method does not seem to support a sort parameter and the results do not seem to have a discernible ordering.

I want to be able to display the 100 most recent releases, newest first. At the moment it seems like I have to make multiple calls, expanding the date range until I get 100 total results, and then sort those results.

Hi,

The ~/release/chart endpoint doesn't offer sorting because it's a list of popular releases in a given timespan, much in the same vein as the official UK albums chart but from our own sales data.

I'd suggest using the ~/release/bydate endpoint to get the most recent releases. 

Also, almost all of our endpoints accept a pagesize parameter which you can set to 100 and it will bring back as many results that are available up to 100.

http://api.7digital.com/1.2/release/bydate?pagesize=100&oauth_consumer_key=YOUR_KEY_HERE

Also, if you want something a bit more targeted, you could try the ~/release/bytag/new endpoint which allows you to see the latest releases in a particular genre, such as rock:

http://api.7digital.com/1.2/release/bytag/new?tags=rock&pageSize=100&oauth_consumer_key=YOUR_KEY_HERE

Sorry, I actually meant release/bydate in my original question. Perhaps if you re-read it with that in mind you will see what I am asking.
