Subject: Urgent: Provisional Federation Committee Tenure & Re-election

Dear Federation Committee,

I am writing on behalf of the C Wing CHSL Management Committee.
We would like to raise a concern regarding the extension of the provisional Federation Committee beyond its defined tenure, lack of clear communication or a plan for conducting fresh elections.

As informed by our wing representatives (Mr. Amol and Mr. Dhananjay), an extension was requested for the period 1-Jun'25 to 31-May'26 via an attached letter dated 7-Jan'26. However, no official approval has been received to validate continuation beyond the approved tenure. In our view, there is no valid justification to extend the provisional FC beyond May'26. We strongly urge the Federation Committee to immediately initiate the election process by inviting fresh nominations from all wings and proceed towards forming a legally constituted Federation Committee.

C Wing MC and our representatives in the federation do not support any further extension of the provisional FC, which has already exceeded its intended tenure. The continued functioning of the FC without approvals, transparency, and communication is creating challenges in addressing resident queries and may lead to avoidable implications.

We request to share following details by 31-May'26:
  • All extension requests submitted till date.
  • Formal written approvals received, if any
  • Details of proposed amendments to the bye-laws for 7PD federation
  • A clear plan and timeline for conducting elections and forming the new legal Federation Committee
Until clarity is provided, C Wing MC will hold signing any cheques or processing payments to the present provisional Federation Committee and will not be liable for any penalties arising from this.

We look forward to your prompt response and necessary action.

Regards,
C Wing MC

Subject: Re: Urgent: Provisional Federation Committee Tenure & Re-election

Dear Jagjit and All Wing Managing Committee Members,

This is to formally inform you that the process of amendment of the Federation's Bye-laws has been duly completed, including the separation of Wings D and E and the incorporation of Wings H and I as provisional wings in adopted bye-law..

Consequent upon the completion of the aforesaid amendment process, the Federation is now in a position to conduct fresh elections for the General Body and Managing Committee of the Federation.

Accordingly, a written request has been submitted to the Deputy District Registrar (DDR) Office seeking the appointment of an Election Officer. A copy of the said communication is enclosed herewith for your reference. In the event no response is received from the DDR Office within fifteen (15) days from the date of submission, the Federation shall proceed to appoint/nominate an Election Officer and initiate the election process in accordance with the applicable provisions of the Maharashtra Cooperative Societies Act, Rules, and the Federation's Bye-laws.

Upon the appointment of the Election Officer, the election process shall be conducted and completed within the timelines prescribed under the applicable cooperative laws and regulations.

With regard to the extension of the Provisional Committee, the members of the Federation Committee (FC) unanimously resolved that an extension was necessary due to valid and justified administrative reasons. Accordingly, a formal resolution was duly passed extending the tenure of the Provisional Committee up to 31 May. The relevant resolution, supporting documents, and related correspondence have already been submitted to the DDR Office, and copies thereof are available with the concerned members for reference.

An updated copy of the amended Bye-laws has been placed at the Federation Office and is available for inspection by members.

Should you require any further clarification, you may contact your respective Wing Representatives.

Regards,
Shivraj Harale
Secretary
