Hello all. A few months ago I went to the Holocaust Museum in DC and
was asked by a few of you to tell you guys how it went. It went very
well, because for a few months before I went, I scanned a lot of my
grandfather's stuff from the camps, one of them was a photo album that
he got post-liberation. I sent them an e-mail about the stuff and they
said to send them a CD with the scans on them. I sent it out and a few
days before the trip the archivist e-mails me asking if I could being
in the album because they want to see some of the photos. I bring it
in an to the surprise of everyone there, I had photos they never saw
before! They asked if I could let them borrow it for the day so they
could scan the photos which I did. The Museum was good (was there last
year with the same class. I'm an unofficial student this year because
it is during my lunch), but they didn't have all of the liberating
units mentioned, the 75th was one of them. I'm going to see what I can
do to change that over the summer.
Dave
P.S. I just read about the reunion in September and I am going to see
if I can go out. If I can, I'll let everyone know.
