On April 12, my Holocaust studies class is going to the Holocaust
Museum in Washington DC (fittingly enough its the same date that I
believe my grandfather was liberated on by you guys) We are going to
get there around 10:30AM or so and are leaving around 5:00PM or so. I
was wondering if any of you would like to or be able to meet me up
there at the Museum and if there is enough time after going through
the Museum, we could walk over to the WWII Memorial.

Thanks!

Dave

Dave,

I believe your message has also been sent to the 75th Association for
possible inclusion in their newsletter. Would you happen to know the
name of the camp your Grandfather was in and was liberated by the
75th? My dad was stationed at Hemer, Germany which was a camp full of
slave laborers. I think the prisoner population was primarily made up
of Russians. GIs referred to the camp as "Camp Roosevelt" but was (I
think) officially known as Stalag VI A. Was this the same camp your
Grandfather was in or was he in a different camp? God Bless.
