Hello, my name is David Cohen. I am 17 years old and a grandson of a
Holocaust survivor. I have been researching my late grandfather's
ordeal through the Holocaust and I believe that he was liberated by
the 75th Division. He was in the Witten-Annen area, which according to
my research was attacked and occupied by the 290th Infantry. I would
just like to say thank you to the veterans of the 75th Division and
want to let them know that they literally saved my life by saving my
grandfathers. I would like to stay in contact with you and any
remaining 75th vets. I am including a photo of my grandfather and
myself, with the hopes that someone might remember seeing him and be
able to tell me about how they found him. My grandfather never talked
much about it and when he did all he said was that he was on a train
when he heard shouting then gunfire. He passed before I was born and I
have gotten some information from my mom. Any response is greatly
appreciated
