Seriously though -- do we want to group up some of the activities into a role for the meeting, for example: "Meeting Publicist", "Meeting Facilitator" (or "Chief Cat Wrangler")?

If we do that, we can update either the Wiki or the markdown files with a description and checklist for the new people who want to get involved.

This is a great start. I think we need some way to tie in the calendar to this as well though, since we want all of these activities to happen at certain times...and the lazy/forgetful part of me says that it would be nice to have something remind me that I need to send out the tweets or make a call to a speaker....that type of stuff.

I like the simplicity of markdown and using Github though...

If you want to vet an idea, open a PR! Regarding the calendar stuff Brandon has been putting it in buffer so its actually a one time thing. It'd be nice if we could automate that all but again if that's something you think would be cool open a PR!

Some good ideas in that issue. I have made some changes and issued a PR. I think we have a good start to the Global Day of Coderetreat organizing. I will focus some attention on the User group side of it tomorrow.
