I'm really interested in going. Will talk to "the boss" and if they will pay, I really might go. Even tho I had expected to stay home this year and focus on iPhone app development in my off time, it looks like a great agenda. More on Monday I guess.

a company that pays for their employees to travel during these economic conditions is either well positioned for recessions... or ... well, if they pay for you to go, stay with that company. :)

To late now I guess. But yea, Decisiv is a great company. Typically our product is more popular in economic downturns since it focuses on efficiencies.

I wonder what the waiting list is like. Has anyone heard?

RubyConf 2007 wasn't exactly in the worst of times... Plus travel was paid for - i was just asking for paid time off and/or the price of the ticket.

I think a few years ago I was wait listed. It actually only
lasted a couple weeks or so.

Yeah, I think Chad and Rich were honestly surprised how fast it sold
out. Rich tweeted that they are working on expanding the venue if
possible.
