My Unpublished Poems

I.

Happiness

By Joji Varghese Kuncheria

In pursuit of happiness in life,

That we strive hard to achieve,

Mysterious in many ways is it,

Mastering it is the art of living.

Struggling through life's ocean,

In search of the yonder shore,

Through the high and low tides,

Makes us the master craftsmen.

Life is what we make it to be,

Originating with our thoughts,

The very thoughts that shapes,

The plans and purpose of life.

The sort of mischiefs we do,

Seeking happiness or for thrills,

Turns out often to be momentary,

Or a worhless exercises we do.

II.

My Family

By Joji Varghese Kuncheria

I have a lovely family to boast,

Lively as always for a toast,

More than ever to be a host,

Which I like in them the most.

Always in front to do service,

All free and not for any fees,

Doing things with no malice,

Rightly the way to do things.

Entrust them with any work,

When they seem to be stuck,

On a hard task with no luck,

They still pursue with a wink.

Family is society's backbone,

And a nation's cornerstone,

The strong foundation stone,

That makes a nation well known.

III.

Arabian Winter

By Joji Verghese Kuncheria

1.

Disappearing heat

A mystery of this region

Winter in the desert

2.

Cool seasonal breeze

Driving summer heat away

Singing an adieu

3.

Winter approaching

Outdoor games in full swing

Kept at bay a while

4.

A resounding park

Jubilant children welcome

An early Winter

5.

Children on Winter break

Breaking all things left and right

Breaking my head too

6.

Oh come December

Loveliest time of the year

A break from the heat

7.

Cool breezy morning

Winter in the Middle East

Goose bumps on my hand

8.

A misty morning

Loveliest time of the year

A song on my lips

9.

Winter is so cool

A cool time to fool around

My buddy and me

10.

A cool thing to do

To walk in the Winter morn

Holding her warm hand

Dear Dr. Fab and Friends,

Here I send my unpublished poem for the Family project. It is the story of the first family of mankind.

(The First Family)

I was sowing the light flowers
into the clay of darkest nights
I exhaled the green breath
into the heart of droughty sights
I had told to the seven skies
to pour in lands of our paradise
I was dressing up each street
with red roses and snowdrops
In my mind, it was thee
who had owned every place
every breath I inhaled
had caught your fragrance
It was mere from thee
that I'd made blossom
It was mere  from thee
shining the face of the moon
with all that sufferings
among the loneliness
It was just only me
who shield the butterflies
I had told the hope birds,
'I have faith in this love'
I will fight until death
with all threats in our fate of
though I have never told
how I felt about you
It was all full of love
my little heart from you
then came that confounded night
your eyes were escaping looking at me
the night which you shouted out load
You hate to live beside of me
you said, in the garden of my heart
I make hidden a thirsty phyton
it will onslaught savagely
if the love tree makes to burgeon
I said, the warp and woof of my heart
has inherited the petal fine
in my being except the kindness
there is no place for any thorn
You responded with a humiliating smirk
'extra love make it poisonous but'
You said and the dew of tears
dripped out of my broken heart
mere for sowing light into your heart
I hadn't touched you for anything
how could you picked up by your own hands
all the blossoms of my feeling?
I was the one who did not sing
except for whispering love in the wind
why you were riding in the wave of rage
for beating me into the ground?
Although the mid-deep of my heart
burns from the way you look me upon
Although the hope flowers which had roots in
have died in wailing one after the one
I never wish any bad things for you
except for joy and love interpretation
to be reflected on your beautiful eyes
happiness with all of its definitions
Oh, Lilith, the lover of lust in the night
though from you Just a scent left in me
In being through your eyes, I had wished only
I was never been this much unworthy, ugly.

Footnote:
"Lilith, the lover of lust in the night":
Lilith refers to Adam's first wife. Lilith left Adam and did not consider him worthy of her because most of her focus was on superiority in sex and lust. Instead of Adam, she joined with the devil. (The lover is simulated to Lilith who never appreciates the worth of Adam ....). This is the story of the first family of mankind. The one who chooses to love and make family and the one who turns to vain and broke the family. The story that repeated in the earth by the child of Adam.
