Location: Richmond, VA - Hybrid
Duration: 11+ Months (Possible Extensions)

Description:
Must Have:
• Sr. resource – 6-7 years of Data Engineering experience (ideally experience in streaming data)
• Experience in end-to-end application development and deployment
• AWS> lambda, EMR, Serverless
• Python preferred (Java appropriate substitute) – used for programming.
• No SQL & SQL experience
• Data grooming
• Jenkins & Docker experience
Nice to Have:
• Experience working in traditional Agile Meth. Including operating in standard 2-week sprints and participating in morning stand ups
• Kafka
• Looking for eager resource willing to learn and experience changing/evolving in their work as the business needs change.
Core Duties:
• 3+ years of experience in application development including Python, SQL, Scala, or Java
• 2+ years of experience with a public cloud (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)
• 2+ years’ experience with Distributed data/computing tools (MapReduce, Hadoop, Hive, EMR,
• Kafka, Spark, Gurobi, or MySQL)
• 2+ year experience working on real-time data and streaming applications
• 2+ years of experience with NoSQL implementation (Mongo, Cassandra)
• 2+ years of experience with UNIX/Linux including basic commands and shell scripting
• 2+ years of experience with Agile engineering practices
