The ps4 statement says "After the user drags and drops a checker, it should be selected".
1) If the user drags the checker, I assume that the selection should not change (remains the previous selection), only after the user drops the checker, the selection changes to the dragged & dropped checker.
2) What if the user drags the checker then moves the mouse outside / onto some other checker, so that after she drops, the checker actually returns to its original square? I assume that this is also considered a drag & drop, so that the selection should also be changed to the dragged & dropped checker.
Am I right regarding question (1) and (2)? Thank you!
Best regards,
Zhilei
I assume a "click" to be mouse down then up. So, when the mouse is pressed down, the selection should not change, only after the mouse down then up, the selection changes.
According to the PS4 statement, "Clicking on an empty square should clear the selection."
So, for clicking on an empty square, should we tolerate moving in between mouse down and mouse up (that's a dragging)?
Say, the user presses the mouse down on an empty square, and moves some distance, then releases the mouse up. Should this sequence of operations clear the selection? I assume it should, but I'm not sure.
