I've decided to part with my recent Surly Steamroller 650b conversion as part of the 'great bike purge of 2013' that I'm embarking upon. I've posted this build here before and I know a lot of people have seen it, and I wanted to offer it to the list first before I start posting elsewhere, or have to resort to eBay. The bike is amazing and is one of the nicest bikes in my collection right now, but I hardly ever ride it and I need to clear out some space. I'm sure someone here would give it a good home and put a lot of miles on it.
I built this up to be my go-fast bike, and it works great for this with the Pari-Moto tires. I love these tires and don't want to part with them, but I don't have anything else to put on this bike to sell it ;) So the buyer gets them. Lots of parts on the bike are brand-new, and any used parts are very lightly used. The Noodle bars have some scratches on them from the previous owner, but otherwise everything is in brand new or like new condition.
One caveat on the bike: I did the repaint myself at home. The reason is that I live in a rural area and I don't have access to any decent painters in my area. When I bought the frame the previous owner had spray painted it some god-awful camo design and I wanted to repaint it immediately. After spending a month inquiring in my area I realized there was not a place that could give me the high quality powdercoat I was looking for so I took it upon myself. Saying that, it's definitely not perfect, but at the same time it does look pretty nice. Take 3 steps back from the bike and it looks flawless, get close and you'll see minor imperfections and the like. The frame could use a good powdercoat or paint job in the next couple of years after some regular use, but it looks pretty good right now. I'd give it a 8/10. No dents, nicks, or even scratches in the paint. Just want everyone to be aware..
