I've sold a bunch of Sinewave Revolution USB chargers, but one of the things that customers were asking me about was how to allow them to keep the charger in a rando bag and plugged into the dynamo system when they're doing a tour, but remove it from the bike when not needed. Inevitably, the best solutions so far have been to either zip-tie or tape a set of banana plugs to the front rack, which are permanently spliced in to the bike's dynamo system. Then plug the Sinewave into those plugs when needed.
To address this, I designed the
DynoJack. It's just a simple widget that does away with zip-ties and tape. It bolts up anywhere on the bike and provides a place to "remote in" to the bike's dynamo system via two banana plugs. It's not a charger, just a place to tap into the dynamo's power without running a second set of wires all the way down the fork to the hub. Essentially, it taps into the system anywhere they're a convenient place to do so. On my builds, this is usually under the crown, inside the head tube, or under the fender.
It's CNC-milled and incredibly strong.
It can bolt up to an existing eyelet on a rack:
It can bolt up to the fork crown (if there is room, like on this 650B conversion):
Or directly anywhere on the fender:
It can also share a rack headlight mount and tap into the dynamo wiring there.
