Long time lurker here …

This is a regrettable sale, but with overseas trips and a similar bike on its way, it’s time to see it go to its next home. Built a few years ago by an accomplished framebuilder in Melbourne, I sourced it last year and had the original builder braze on additional front rack mounts and bidon mounts.

I then fabricated the custom front racks and fillet brazed stem with detachable low riders with a friend. Finally, to round out the mods, I had a custom decaleur / stem spacer / cable guide made by Mark Gugliemana for the fork. It really has been a collaborative effort

Now for the key details:

- Custom built frame, utilising Columbus tubing, fork blades

- Geometry is very similar to a Crust Bombora ,with shortish chainstays and a mid trail fork, but a level top tube

- Fork is a straight blade Columbus with a copy of a Ritchey crown - originally had a low trail curved fork but rides much better with this setup. Includes a threaded fender stop under the crown.

- Frame has been clear coated over the bare metal.

- 56 c-T-c top tube / 57.5 c-T-c seat tube

- 833mm standover height

- 130mm rear spacing

- Designed around 650bx48mm with fenders - this will clear 55c without fenders without issue

- Double dropout eyelets, fork eyelets too

- Three bottle cage bidons, including one under the downtube for fuel / smaller bottle

- Two sets of midfork eyelets

- Custom front platform rack with independent lowriders. Super stiff and strong. Also includes an integrated dyno light mount.

- Custom riser stem - with the super wide bars, the effective reach is similar to running a 90mm stem

- Custom decaleur made from tubular SS to secure a front bag. This would replace the current headset spacer and cable hanger. Includes an integrated cable hanger with threaded barrel adjuster

- Crust Towel Rack bars (V2, 615mm wide)

- Custom stem as mentioned above

- Brooks Team Pro saddle

- Nitto S83 seatpost 27.2

- Sugino PX 44/28 crankset

- Spank Spike pedals

- Ultegra 6600 RD

- Sachs Quarz FD

- XTR M950 12-32 8sp cassette

- 8sp Shimano bar end shifters

- 650b Velocity Synergy rims laced to Shimano LX dyno hub and Velocity rear hub
