Looking for some fit experience or conjecture…

I’d like in theory to fit Honjos wrapping hetres under a bling set of polished Paul mini motos. Thoughts?

Looks like it’s all about fender width and depth. Simworks has good diagrams of various Honjo models.

Anyone have ideas about how feasible this might be and if so, how?

Much appreciated, especially speculation, but extra especially from practical experience.

Many have tried - many of have failed. I think you could do it if you commit to cutting the fender.

It may be successful if your posts are high enough but I don't think it will work.

II saw somewhere a picture of somebody who had a pair of mini Motos with some 42s and it looked like it barely fit. I’ll try and find it.

I run Mini-motos on one bike, and Motolites on another.
My experience with the Mini-motos is they max out at about 38mm tires, and while I haven’t tried it, it looks like fenders would be problematic at that width.
The bike with the Motolites runs 650bx42 with BO Wavy fenders, no problem.

Hope that helps some.

Also my experience that 38mm was the max tire for minimotos.  So I went with TRPs on that bike.

I have run Mini Motos on 42s and 44/45s, comfortably. And 48s barely.

A Rene Herse 48 will work. A Rock n Road, not really.

But all this depends largely on post placement.

Either way, you can definitely use them on tires bigger than a 38.

Wait, I should clarify: this was all on 700c bikes!

650b group as this is, I stand corrected!

PWPW does the wheel size affect the amount of tire the brakes will clear? Anyways, in my experience Renétires measure out to be fairly smaller than they’re labeled size my 650 X55 tires measured out to be 47 mm on a 19 mm internal rim.

That video is nice, but when designing for fenders and centerpull brakes like the RacerM, it's important to have enough clearance between the top of the fender and the brake arms so that when the straddle is unhooked the arm can move down fully. That way you can remove the inflated tire!

I see cantilever brakes in your future.
