I'm selling a brand new pair of HED Belgium Plus 650b wheels.  They're 32 spoke, laced with DT Aero Spokes.  The front hub is a SON widebody with the SL connector.  The rear is White Industries T11.  The spokes and rims are black, the hubs are polished / chrome.  They are for rim brakes.  They are tubless ready, with a yellow rim tape and we're built by Wheel Builder.
I'm selling them because I had a custom bike being built but when my number was up, the builder decided he didn't want to do my bike anymore.  Real nice, right?  SO, I'm gonna go a different route and I'm selling the bits I collected for this build.  New, they could cost over $1,300 from WheelBuilder but I'm selling them for $1,100.

Thanks,

Why not go to another builder who will do you bicycle?

That's what I wanted to do originally but there are only a handful of steel frame builders that I was considering working with and they are all either not taking orders or have an absurdly long waiting list.  So, I'm going a completely different route, still 650b but won't be using these wheels.

Was Hahn Rossman under your consideration? He builds with SON SL hubs exclusively and makes his own dropouts for them from scratch

Sorry to hear you had a bad experience in commissioning a bike.
Was there a legitimate reason given for not wanting to build your bike.

Anytime I've had a frame built, I spoke with the builder at length to determine if we were a good fit for each other and then got on their list.

I would want a builder to prequalify me just as much as I would want to prequalify them.

Nope, Hahn wasn't / isn't one of the people I considered for the build.

I don't think there was any good reason, IMO.  I was in line for nearly 8 months and we went back and forth quite a bit (but not so much as to bug him).  The only two things that could have possibly been out of the ordinary for the builder but he happily agreed to was that I wanted stainless dropouts (he bought the inserts from MAP) and the fact that the frame was going to be big, probably a 68 c to c seat tube and 200mm cranks.  "All" of this pushed him over the edge I guess.  The pisser is that I've purchased a lot of parts for this build, the wheels, brakes, fenders and a lot more.  It was terribly upsetting and it has left a really bad taste in my mouth and to be honest, I'm gun shy now because this frame builder is someone who is highly regarded in the 650b world.  It was a real cluster.
