To all,

My friend Bob Kamzelski in Portland is building me a new 650b frame. In
case you have not heard his name before, he used to live in Philly and work
for Bilenky for many years.

My new frame: http://www.flickr.com/photos/bikeforvictory/

Check it out.

Thanks,
Ron

Cool - nicely done fillet brazing is the most beautiful joinery -
IMO of course.

What kind of a 650B bike are you having built? Camping bike? All
Arounder bike? Brevet bike? Ijustwantanotherbike bike?

Steve,

It is build as a Brevet bike, 747 tubing, Ergo 9 speed. I told him when
he left Philly I would buy one from him when he is ready. Well, two years
later, he is.

Last time I saw Bob in person was in the NAHBS show, and we both agree the
kind of bike we like, one that go straight easily.

FYI - one of those builders is the same Joshua Bryant who is a member of this group, and who's 650b bike recently received glowing reviews in BQ. Also a member of our local randonneurs.

That is too funny--friend of mine used to run a business (non-bike) in that building.

To all,

Latest photo from Bob the frame builder.

Wide front rack, same as a Berthoud 22 bag.
Removable low rider
Rear rack is the same design Bob made for himself before.

More to come...

Looks incredible, but the choice of hubs (as far as aesthetics) makes me scratch my head.

Eric,

Those are just test wheels. We will be using Campy Chorus and Schmidt
hubs for production.

Ah! No wonder.

However, it still seems odd to lace up such nice white/red DT-swiss hubs to silver rims :)

Eric,

Funny you ask, those are mine from my weight weenie days.

They are 28 spokes front and rear, Synergy rim, really light spokes and AL
nipples. Front and rear comes in 1550g, lighter than my 240s Open Pro 700c
wheels.

Oh well, those days are over and I am going to sell them soon.

Ron
