I seem to be having a difficult time tracking down some rims with these features:
- Machined side walls
- 32-36h
- Black
- Width optimized for Hetres to Quasimotos

Thanks

I don't think any rim brake 650B rim exists in black.  AFAIK  these are only non disc rims these being made right now: (and they are all silver)
1. Velocity Synergy
2. Velocity A23 ( special run)
3. Velocity Atlas
4. Velocity Twin Hollow
5. Pacenti PL23
6. Rigida Sphinx

If there are others I'd be interested too.

The Rigida Sphinx became the Weinmann ZAC 19  650b rim and then Weinmann stopped making them.
Weinmann and Rigida are the same company today.
The Confrerie des 650b  then made arrangements with Ambrosio to make the rim.
It is now called the Ambrosio Keba.

There are several other rims made world wide, including some steel rims.  650b is not uncommon, just uncommon here and in England, and a little bit in France.  Since it works, it is the wheel size of working and worker's bikes in large parts of the world.

There are also quite a few 27.5 disk only rims, which are 650b rims.

I haven't checked Velocity's site, but I do have a set of A23's in black but they're 700s

I don't know what MSW is, but a while back someone was selling a 650B wheelset with black Synergies, so there are some out there somewhere!

Velocity hasn't made the 650B Synergy in black for some time. You might find some out there, but I know I haven't sold them in a couple of years.

I bought black Synergies from Rich Lesnik a few years ago when he called out trying to get rid of them.  A couple years later when I talked to him about buying some more rims he still had both black and silver Synergies on-hand.  Give him a call or email him and maybe he has them for you.  The ones I did buy a few years ago were non-machined sidewalls, but they are machined now (by my brake pads and road grime)

If you want to call, do it soon. He is going away this weekend.

(It's likely that most of you already noticed but...) Looks like Kirk is posed to fill this niche in late November

Butting in here on a 'dead' thread... we here at Velocity will be getting some black 650b MSW Synergys here in a few weeks. We've been getting an increase in requests for it, so we're going to give it a try and see how it goes. Feel free to email me at se...@velocityusa.com if you have any questions.
