I wrote a blog post describing my experience with a Velo Routier V2 if anyone is interested. In summary, I recommend it if you're considering trying out 650B with some minor caveats. You can read it here: http://www.brooklynrandonneur.com/2016/03/cycles-toussaint-velo-routier-v2-ride.html

Hello, your blog is dead.  Is this review available anywhere else?  I'd love to read it...

Shame David's blog is down! I read it not a month ago when I was shopping for my Velo Routier.

Ended up getting a 60cm V1, which I've been extremely happy with. A little different than the V2, but not hugely so. Happy to answer questions if you've got any!

Well sure, tell us what you think about it.  Sounds like the biggest improvement in the V2 is being able to handle 42mm tires with fenders, and the biggest deprovement is going to horizontal drops (that is a disappointment to me, but not a deal breaker).

I remember Jan Heine's review in BQ a few years back, but I can't find my copy of that issue so I can't read it again.  As I recall he generally liked it but he thought it was a little overbuilt and stiff, but then again he's the guru of "planing" so it seems like anything with more than a 1" 7/4/7 TT is not going to satisfy him.

Anyways I'm all ears to whatever you want to say about it, how it handles, what you thought of low-trail, braking etc.  Let us know how you built it up and what kind of riding you've done on it.

Thanks - Colin
