2012 Rawland Stag for sale.  Size Large (58x58cm).  Very good to excellent overall condition, with a few small paint chips. This bike has a custom fork by Jeff Lyon with Kaisei superlight tubing.  Includes a brand new set of high end custom wheels.  It’s currently set up as a gravel bike with 48mm Rene Herse Extralight knobbys.  Swap out the tires for 42s, bolt on the included fenders and Nitto rack, and you have an instant Randonneur.  In either configuration it’s a great ride, lively, responsive, fast.  I’ve done 3 or 4 D2R2 180k events with it both in gravel and randonneur configurations, and it’s always been rock solid, plus it's gotten a lot of compliments and admiration.  Sean Rawland designed exceptional mixed surface machines and I believe the Stag was the best of them, only hampered by the overbuilt fork.  The Lyon fork takes it to a whole different level.  I’m selling because I want to build up a modern disc gravel bike, but I won’t be too surprised if it turns out to be not as good as this Rawland.

If there's no interest in the complete bike,  I’m willing to part it out.

This makes me wish I needed a rando bike!

I had a Stag for a bit, purchased secondhand. The original owner converted the fork from threadless to quill, but it still had the stock fork. I was never sensitive enough to know whether or not the fork was "overly stiff" like everybody said it is, but I did always wonder how the bike would've ridden with one of these Lyon forks. I wound up selling that bike when I moved somewhere with minimal bike storage. I built up a Crust Lightning Bolt a few months ago that fills the rando slot so this bike wouldn't make sense for me, but even then it's enticing! GLWS

I'm still looking for a small (54cm) if anyone has one! Have a Nordavinden size large to trade or sell. Thanks!
