So the top line:
Wanting a nice, light, road bike
* Room for 35c tires (mid reach brakes)
* 700c
* Thin tubes
* 73+ STA
* 73 HTA
* short rear end (420 chain stays or less)
* made for road riding, fast
* 56ish top tube
* Stack: 590 or so
* Reach: 380 or so
* Open to rim or disc (anyone have a 56R Strael they don’t want?)
You may be asking yourself - didn’t he just get a build together?
Yes he did.
He found a great 1983 Sequoia to build.
Then mocked up the build.
Sent photos to his friends.
Noticed something weird in the top and downtubes and the way the HT and ST sat in the photo relative to each other
Checked the bike in person
Found the telltale flat bellies behind the lugs to indicate that he was right, it was in a front end crash.
So now he’s on the lookout for something to take it’s place without ever having ridden it.
