Picked up my new Crust Lightning Bolt yesterday! Pics (with a different saddle) here: https://www.instagram.com/p/BqaIPHclvAp/

I've been delighted with my Lightning Bolt (60% of my 4K miles this year were on it, and I have 5 bikes in rotation). I've been looking to consolidate the stable, and was in the market for a versatile frameset I could build into lean and mean rocket--a high trail, fenderless/rackless counterpoint to my Lightning Bolt. I was down at Crust HQ a few weeks and saw it in the stand. Threw a leg over it, and immediately fell in love.

Frame: Dreamer Large
Fork: ENVE Cross
Headset: King
Wheels: Velocity Blunt SS laced to Velocity Hubs
Tires: Snoqualmie Pass
Crank: White Industries M30 42T
RD and Brake Levers: SRAM Rival
Handlebars: Simworks Wonderer
Stem: one of those Nitto integrated theadless steams.
Saddle: Berthoud (not the Cambium pictured)

I took it out for a fast ride on my normal route yesterday, and I can say two things: this bike is fast as blazes, and comfortable as hell. I haven't weighed the bike yet, but it is my lightest by a significant margin. The front end handling in particular reminds me of my departed Atlantis, and that's a great thing. Perhaps it's the slack HT angle--I'm unsure. I'll eventually get a second set of wheels for it; it's cool that I can easily switch between 650B and 700C. In any case, I'm very excited to put more miles on this one. I've found that it takes a good 1K miles before I can really form an educated opinion of a bike, but I'm quickly falling in love with the Dreamer.

As always, Matt was world class to work with.
