Looking for another set of 170mm cranks capable of 46/30 or lower gearing. Shiny silver please.

Hi,

I have a pair of the old Ritchey mountain compacts at 42-32-22. in near new condition, would make a great compact double or, heaven forbid, a triple. 170mm.
$125 sound reasonable?

I'd be open to trading for any sort of compact double in a 175mm, my new preferred length, as well.

I have a set of Sugino AT cranks in 170mm. No Chainrings.

Thanks to all who emailed with interest.

Actually, Justin decided not to buy them...so, let's say they are on sale again.
Price is $200 + shipping. (Sorry for the crummy picture)
East Bay pickup preferred. Paypal or cash.
Hope they can find a nice home!

I'm confused is the price $125 or $200 plus shipping?

mfw I offer ritchey cranks with mismatched rings for $125 but then the buyer backs out and I check eBay so now the price is $200

Hi, ( to answer Randal and clear up the price)

I know Justin from the past and quickly offered to help him. He backed out, and there was a lot of interest in the crankset, so I thought I'd ask for a reasonable price.
Picking a price is always hit or miss and I don't have a lot of time to spend on this. We'll see how it goes.
Still open for trading for a compact double in a 175mm.

Not to denigrate Ritchey cranks.  I have a set (for quite a while).   But what is the difference between them and other cold forged 110 BCD Sugino square taper cranks?   Your answer will help me make a build choice.

Looks. They look good and became rare as hen's teeth during the Pandemic induced supply shortage which resulted in the vintage bike parts craze.

They have a slightly lower q-factor than many other arms from that era.

The 94BCD triple model (labeled "Compact") are very popular because they can be turned into a low Q, (145mm +/-) wide range double with a 29T or 30T inner chainring sitting in the middle position.  The original post in this thread was for the 94BCD.

I have these 94BCD cranks on about half a dozen bikes, all setup  as either 42/29 or 42/30 doubles. Here is the Ritchey version: Q is ~145mm when using a Phil Wood 98mm BB.IMG_0186.jpg

I probably can dig up an all silver SunTour MD triple which can accept down to a 20T small ring. They have 175mm crank length in decent used condition
I also have a brand new in the box set of Shimano XTR cranks from maybe 1990
I'm back home in Mid January and can yard these out then,  if anyone is interested
