Can anyone chime in with the max tire size they have been able to fit with a Gran Cru brake?  I am in the process of having a custom bike built and curious what the caliper limits are.  Cheers!

Thanks, any idea if the TRP R957s have any more room?

I bet they're very similar in clearance, if not identical.

Are you planning to use fenders?  Dual-pivots eat up a little more vertical space than centerpulls or other types, so you'll need to make sure your "legs" are long enough.

It depends on whether the builder sets the fork and stay lengths so that the brake blocks sit at the bottom of the height adjustment slot. I have a Curt-Goodrich built Riv custom using Shimano 57mm reach dual pivot brakes, and with 35mm Bon Job Pass tyres there is just over 10mm of clearance between the top of the tyres and the brake arches.
