Hey all,

I'm looking to consolidate bikes and have the option for some more mixed road and trail riding on my GR.  Currently I have 46cm Noodles and like the fit alot.  I would like a bar with more flare for riding in the drops.  Does anyone know which size of the RM-013 would fit on the hoods like my Noodle, the 46cm or the 48cm?  Because of the point where the bars are measured and the flare, it's hard to tell from the numbers alone.

Thanks,

H.

The answer is at the bottom of this page http://store.biketouringnews.com/nitto-dirt-drop-handlebar-rm-013/

If I remember correctly, Noodle width is calc'd at the hoods, per Rivendell.  Looks like you are going to need a 52cm to be in the same position.

"Drop Bar Sizes are based on the measurement between the bar ends, center to center. Because of the flare on the ends, the brake hoods will be closer than the nominal size of the bar. In other words, for a 52 cm bar the brake hoods will end up about 46 cm apart, on the 48 the hoods will be about 43 cm apart and the hoods will be roughly 40 cm apart on the 46 cm bar."
