The name survey Results are in.

With 23 people voting, the winner by a slight margin is Triangle Park.

A very close second was Bella Vista Park.

Thanks,

Lea

In Bermuda?

Seriously for a moment, I am setting a meeting with the Councilman and with Neighborhood Garden Trust (Part of PHS)for early to mid October.

I have also had positive feedback from EP Henry re a donation of hardscape (no meeting yet)

More to come

Stay focused and we can bring this home!!

Joel

Endowment fund to help spruce up cityscape

The Pennsylvania Horticultural Society has launched its first
endowment fund, with a goal of raising $12.1 million by 2011. More
than half is already pledged.

About $7.6 million will pay to maintain some of the society's high-
profile public landscapes, at the Azalea Garden, City Hall, Logan
Square, and Eastern State Penitentiary. The rest will provide new
fencing, benches, and other capital improvements at community gardens
in the society's Keystone Gardens program.

The endowment will permit money raised year-to-year to be used for
other projects, such as maintenance of new landscaping for the
Benjamin Franklin Parkway makeover, according to Melissa De Ruiter,
the society's development director.
