Strategy for enabling dual communication (gNB + sidelink) in ns-3 5G-LENA

Hello everyone,

I am currently working with ns-3 version 4.2 together with 5g lena V2X 1.1, and I would like to configure a scenario where the same node can communicate both with a gNB (V2N) and with another node via sidelink (V2V).

My main question is:

👉 What strategy should I take to achieve this setup? 

I am aware that it might require modifications to the original ns-3 NR module code (5G-LENA), but I would like to hear suggestions or best practices from those who may have already tried something similar.

Are there existing examples, or should I start from scratch?

Any advice, examples, or references would be greatly appreciated!
