Dual functional Node configuration

Hello All,

I am working on ns3.44 and 5g-lena 4.1 (for NR) together.

I want to simulate a base station as both UE (called bu for Satellite-gNB called s) and gNB (called bg for terrestrial mobile UEs u1 and u11). I am finding the following observations: 1. When the bg is configured the transmission from s->bu becomes 0. 2. When bg is disabled s->bu  works fine; 3. When the bg is configured, although the attachment happens, ipv4 is allotted, and EPS-bearer shows active, still the UL/DL takes place only between bg and u1 but not between bg and u11; 4. Can I get some suggestions regarding the following?: (a) Can a node be configured both as a UE and gNB simultaneously? If yes, what is the procedure to link both? (b) Why bg->u1 alone take place and not bg->u11?
