Hi Garin Aliyolo,

Last night Gal Bet (me, Ben, Zoey, Becca, Zev, and Phia) chatted for a while, it was really nice! We decided that over the coming months we will talk with each other approximately monthly. These conversations will either take the form of peulot about things on people's minds or they will be a chance for us to bring the questions and obstacles we feel that we are dealing with and to work through them together. We also talked about how just talking with each other cannot meet all of our needs or help us resolve/deal with all of our questions and reaffirmed that we as individuals and as a kvutzah need to be in touch with the garin in Israel and with our madrichim.

Last night's sicha dealt largely with the fact that we as individuals are in a range of places in our thought processes and plans for the next 2-12 months and that different people (depending on where they are at, if they were on mifgash, what resources they have and have been using, etc.) have different questions about their next steps. So we went through whatever questions we could together (some very tangible and pragmatic, others more about identity and personal issues) and then made a list of questions that we felt like we could use your insight on. Some questions are best answered by members of 58 in Israel, others may be more applicable for Jacki or Ofer. I was just gonna send them over to one member of the garin or as an email but through some conversations realized that maybe it would be better or more convenient to share the questions as a google doc. The link is below.

Hope everyone is having a great week so far!

Love,

Matan

Hey everyone!

We've all taken a look at the questions and are crafting a response that includes all of our voices. Some of them are questions that we haven't begin answering ourselves, and so our goal is to include you all as we begin to discuss them.

Love you all!

Hey Gal Bet
We are now sharing with you a google doc with our answers to your questions. As you read the responses you may notice that they are often hopelessly vague and inconclusive. While this might be annoying, it results from the inherently anarchic and unsettled state of Gal Bet and our kvutzah right now. There just aren't rules in place for lots of these things! Still, they are good questions that we as a kvutzah should discuss together, and we've tried to answer them as fully as we can. We want to emphasize though that YOU all will have a role in answering these questions when you arrive in Israel and become engaged in the kvutzah/Gal bet process. I.e., you are going to shape the structure you become a part of, not just be molded into it.

For those of you with burning practical questions, I (נח) am here to talk via phone, skype whatever. I know some of the difficulties that come with the stage you're at right now, and I'm happy to talk stuff through with anyone.

Lots of love

Hi everyone!

Just wanted to say thanks for the responses! I really appreciate the effort to answer the questions and appreciate even more the collaborative spirit and partnership inherent in them. I'm really happy to be communicating like this and hope to be able to continue to be able to discuss these questions in some way that is appropriate and productive for where everyone is at (recognizing of course the importance of continuing to have sichot ishiot as a major part of our continued process together).

Chag sameach everyone!

Love,

Matan
