Probably my most burning question is how, as an Orthodox rabbi, he understands the nature and person (or non-person) of God. But several folks have already suggested similar questions.
So, in lieu of that and in consideration of the parsha we read this past Shabbat, Tazria/Metzora, I would love to hear from an Orthodox perspective, what he makes of the discussion of purity and impurity connected to what gets translated as leprosy. I personally suspect that there is a great deal of text missing (or perhaps simply never recorded). My own conjecture is that the priests, besides serving in the temple, were also healers and medicine men, akin to shamans found in many parts of the world though, of course, the Levant would have it's distinctive flavor. (My schooling was in anthropology and one of my great loves is mythology and so that's my excuse for being so "unorthodox" in how I read and read between the lines of the text.)
