One of Havurah's members is Sacha Reich, the founder of the Jewish
Theatre Collaborative. Tonight, JTC will be hosting Professor Natan
Meir (PSU), who will give a lecture at 7:00 at Artists Repertory
Theatre, (15th and Alder). He's a wonderful, young resource in the
community, and he will be speaking on "The Destruction of a People and
Its Culture" - the vibrant and diverse Jewish life of pre-war Europe.
Thought some of you would be interested in this topic. Remember, last
week we spoke about the fact that the Jewish community had already
begun to evolve into a much richer, secular culture - prior to the big
move to America. When we have an historian in the community, it's a
good thing to capitalize on the opportunity to hear what he has to
say!
