Does he think the Torah directly supports all of halacha? How much
interpretation is needed to cover all the restricted activities during
Shabbat for example, and why & how are some interpretations favored and
codified and others ignored? What's the criteria? If the criteria were set
down long ago, why is it still important to follow them if they are no
longer relevant? How does the practice of following halacha stay
meaningful and true to the spirit of the Torah as the world around us
changes?
