New Super

So does everyone know that the super, Remi, does not live on-site but
in fact lives in Queens? And that he shows up here around 4:00 to look
at the work orders, leaving little time to accomplish any of them?
What happens if there is an emergency during evening/night hours--we
have a number for him but is he going to come out here from Queens?
Highly doubtful considering the apathy that everyone connected to
Janoff and Olshan seems to feel about this building and the people who
live in it.

Also who is the young man who is around on Saturdays? I've heard his
behavior around potential tenets has been dreadful. I can't believe I
am nostalgic for the Mike days--he hardly got anything done but at
least he was here and fairly pleasant.

What are people's experiences with Remi?

I think the younger guy is a porter - not 100% sure. My experiences
with Remi have not been good - he is very harsh and when I had a
situation happen where J&O was in the wrong he was very rude and
unapologetic. He said that Mike left things in a shamble and it was a
big mess to clean up - I understand the stress but that is really no
reason to be rude to tenants.

We've called Remi three times to complain that there was no hot water
- left messages each time. He never answered the phone or return the
call. No idea what he looks like or what his hours are or supposed to
be. There was also a situation previously where Mike could let you
into your apt if you locked yourself out [it's happened to me] - I'm
guessing that's another service that is no longer available.
