Hey Jonathan,

Why would you choose to lose multiple times!

All kidding aside, personally, I think a beer should only be entered once!  As a judge, I don't think I want to be tasting/judging the same beer multiple times.  And if I did, and should one duplicate entry score high and the other low, would we then have to waste more time then you've had to do already on this issue explaining why?

Jim

Subject: [FOTR Members] Homebrew Club Challenge - Entering the same beer if        you belong to more than one homebrew club

Dear Homebrew Clubs,

It  has come to my attention that there are some more limitations to our program if you want to enter the same beer under more than one homebrew club.

In order to represent more than one club you must re-register under a different email address.  This additional email address can be made up (as long as we have at least one real email address)  but has to be in an email address form.

We also ask that you to slightly alter your first name under any additional registrations where you put a different homebrew clubs name than the original registration name you entered

If you want to enter the same beer you represent for each of the homebrew clubs that you are in, please alter the name of the beer for each entry.

For example:

My first registration is Jonathan Aronson under my email address of jonde...@yahoo.com  and put Foam on  the Range as my beer club and put my beer name as  "Good IPA"

My second registration name is Jon Aronson under em...@email.com and put Kroc as my other homebrew club. I then put the same beer as I entered before as "Good IPA2"

Depending on which  homebrew club you want to represent just enter your beers under the email address that corresponds to that particular club.

I hope that clarifies this for you all who wish to enter beers for more than one club.

Again for Judging or Stewarding please only enter under one of your club's name as we do not want to assign the same person to 2 different tables at the same time.  Also there will be an fee for each beer you enter even if it is the same beer under a different club and name.

We apologize for any confusion this may have caused, but we are working the kinks out to be compatable with the sign up and tracking software that we are using.

Thanks your for your understanding.

Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions..

Thank you to all the clubs who have responded so far and we are looking forward to hearing from many more who wish to participate.

Cheers

Jonathan Aronson

FOTR President and Competition organizer
