Smileys und Javascript

Hi :)
Ich hab das Tutorial von CPL nachgemacht und es hat auch alles super geklappt, allerdings hab ich jetzt eigene Smileys nehmen wollen und der Code sieht so aus:

Doch diese funktionieren noch nicht, da ich iwie das Javascript noch reinbringen muss: laut diesem Tutorial : http://www.copypastelove.org/2013/01/smileys-im-kommentarfunktion-einbauen.html

 Jetzt verstehe ich nicht, wie ich die ersten TEile machen muss? Die bunten Smileys werden mir im Kasten nämlich schon angezeigt :/?
