Unable to join the google group

Accounts not yet joined cannot access this Google Group nor join it

Attempting to visit the page https://groups.google.com/g/511sfbaydeveloperresources on an account not yet joined result in the following error message:

According to the following article: https://knowledge.workspace.google.com/admin/support/troubleshooting/fix-common-issues-with-group-settings#Visibility

I strongly believe it is necessary to go https://groups.google.com/g/511sfbaydeveloperresources/settings and change the setting "Who can see group" to "Anyone on the web", allowing new people to join the group.

Conversations in the group would still be hidden from outsiders, since that is controlled by a different setting - "Who can view conversations" - which is set to "Members only" right now.
