Rate Limit Increase

Hello,

I am a developer working with several bay area transit agencies including SFMTA, SamTrans, and CalTrain to create realtime displays for their transit information. For example, we currently manage the SFMTA pylons  in the SalesForce center. We are also working on increasing the breadth (count) and depth (type) of displays for their information. While developing these solutions I’ve run into the API rate limiting. I have a few questions.

First, do you have a recommended refresh rate for the GTFS-RT feeds, for example api.511.org/transit/vehiclepositions?agency=CT&format=json ? 

Furthermore, how can I go about increasing the rate limit for our API key? (Currently tied to this email address, I believe)

- Also, should I create a separate API key for each project or use the same one for all?
