So, I made a Node app for a raspberry pi that shows bus times for about 5 different stops.  I had been using the NextBus/UMOIQ API, but I think they have deprecated the SF-Muni agency, so I'm looking for a replacement.

I was playing around with your API.  I'm trying to display about 3-4 different buses at 3-4 different stops, but I can't see how to do that without going WAY over the 1 hit/min limit, as I think I would have to make 1 request per stop

Suggestions?

Kenneth,

Sf-muni is indeed deprecated. Try just hitting https://api.511.org/transit/tripupdates?api_key=<KEY>&agency=SF&format=json and storing that information for a minute. Is there a reason this won’t work?
