David,

You bring up a good idea. Even though we archive traffic data, we have not thought of providing that to external data consumers. Making archived data available through a bulk or API feed would be an involved undertaking for us. My uninformed guess would be that some data consumers receiving current data may archive them at their end if they so desire.

These data could be quite useful for planning purposes. Are the data archived? If so, can the archived data be accessed under the same user agreement?

I am looking into this and will get back to you as soon as possible. It appears that we haven't received your agreements yet. Could it be still on its way? Where did you mail it from, by what mail carrier, and how long ago?

Once we receive your signed agreement it may take a few days for us to create an account and inform you.

Yes I had sent exactly the same signed agreement to the required address. It was the same agreement to which you have provided the link on; but still we haven't received any kind of dataset.

The link to the Java Client and the schema for the data are also available on the same web page.

Nisar,

Thanks for considering this. It seems to me that a number of groups at MTC would be interested, particularly the groups that deal with freeways, transit, and planning in general. Given the extensive amount of planning work going on and the associated data needs I’d think that this would be something that MTC management would be willing to support.
