API limit increase request

Hello 511 data friends,

I am developing a website for personal use to show nextbus information.

Could I please get a API rate limit increase?

The app does some pageload instantiation requests,

and then I am looking to poll the api.511.org/transit/VehicleMonitoring endpoint to get realtime updates... perhaps every 10 seconds?

I have a raspberry-pi displaying a map with the resultant data, set up near my front door to assist with transit timing :-)

Hi Carson,

As a long time follower of the group I suspect the 511 team may eventually chime in with a rate increase but a typical response is to avoid pageload instantiation requests by caching the data locally as the 511 API isn't intended to serve as an app specific backend without caching.
