Is the Atlas legal to use on the 505 as long as it is tuned to only show heading/timer and trim?

I have one from my brief stint as a VXone sailor and would love to use it.

Hi Tom, there was discussion on this topic at the AGM in Adelaide. I believe the rules committee will be looking into a pragmatic amendment to allow the presence of these devices but not the use in real time of some functions. Also vhf radios.

Thanks Aaron. That’s good news. It’s a great toy. The Race Sense is cool, too, albeit not useful for a gate start.
