James,
I think potential buyers will want to know what mast section is in the boat, and if the centreboard and rudder are current design high aspect, as in the Waterat HA480 (I doubt it has an HA490 unless you bought the centreboard in the last three years or so). How many suits of sails in good condition, what sort of trailer and trolley... Great that Larry/Waterat did some work on it!
I own four 505s (including 7200 a Lindsay hull finished by Waterat) and have no plans to buy another, so not me ...
I remember 7092 from when it was raced on the East Coast, by several different owners over the years ...
There is a poster on my wall of 505s racing in the pre-worlds in 1981, and the 4th placed boat in the image is Macy Nelson driving with Duncan Skinner on the wire in 7092. I don't know if the boat was then owned by John Pulverman, or Duncan Skinner. The boat was later owned by Mark Wheeler, then Kenny Elliot/Allan Kilgore, then Dustin Romey who raced it with Jahn Tihansky.
I would encourage you to keep the boat and race it if you can. Those of us who have been racing 505s for years love the boat, the people, and the racing so much, we want to keep doing it until we're dead, and we organize our lives around being able to do that ...
Cheers,
Alexander "Ali" Meller
