2008 Memorial Day Regatta at LYC

The regatta is shaping up to be an awesome weekend with potentially 17+ boats on the line. We will not hit the water until 11:30 at the earliest on Saturday, so no reason to come down on Friday night.

 

Parking lot rig tuning and calibration session starts at 10 am, we will hit the water for drills & practice racing around 11:30, the regatta starts at 2:25. Arrive whenever you like, take part in whatever you want.

 

We are going to have a great BBQ & debrief at John Wyle's house following the racing on Saturday.  Sunday’s schedule will likely mirror Saturdays, but is TBD based on what people want to do.  

 

If you requested housing, please confirm with me. If you have not let me know you are coming, but would like to, let me know ASAP, I have several good skippers/crews available.

 

Note: There is NO ENTRY FEE for the regatta itself, although we will be collecting for the coaching and BBQ. The entry form, SI's, etc is at: http://www.larchmontyc.org/racing/MemorialDayWeekendRegatta.shtml.  We can do the entries at the morning debrief for those who cannot handle pre-registration.

 

Final note: for those who have not been to LYC before, there is a solid amount of tide on Western LIS . The young bucks can use the ramp, but the seasoned veterans know to bring lifting rings for the hoist.
