Hello 505ers and want to 505ers,

We want to provide opportunities for interested people to go sailing.  Two dates have been floated: 

• Saturday, June 26 at Common Fence Point  
• Sunday , July 24 at Sail Newport

It turns out some of the boats have migrated to Sail Newport, but sailing can certainly be had.  I ask that any person interested in sailing reply to this email (Region 1 post)  and we'll try to get you assigned to a boat owner to go sailing one of these days.   It may be you are asked to go to the other location.  This is a chance to sail the best racing dinghy ever.

Hello All,

Demo day looks light on attendance right now, however Saturday looks like a pretty good breeze setup.  Dave K mentioned he was planning to do some recruiting, and Jed Bell wants to go for a sail.  Depending on if any other interested people step forward, we could get Jed out and have a practice session with boats that are there.   Who is in?  I can head down from NH for a mid day session, or Jed can go with Dave K.  Please RSVP interest by replying to this mail.  Ryan  Pesch, Matt Hearsey,  Paul Taylor,  Robert MacDonald,  Peter Andaloro, Sam Stokes and Segah Mir.... please chime in if you want to catch one of these dates and I will try to assure we have a boat owner lined up for a demo.

Matt H and I are sailing with Mike Z and Pete A on Saturday, time TBA but after noon (3p launch?).

We may also sail Sunday, haven't gotten that far yet.

Both days look good for breeze.

Jed Bell and I have connected, but we will not be sailing Saturday.   I'll get him out another day, perhaps a weekday.

I’m a 6’0” crew with experience in the 29er and c420 but none in the 505 just yet. would love to get an opportunity to sail if someone needed a crew to sail with.
