Hello All,

American YC in Rye NY has floated the possibility for a regatta mid-September 2021 that could be used as an East Coast container loading location for Worlds in Bermuda.  This sounds promising for ECCs and it is an adjustment they seem able to make from their historic Columbus Day HPDO event. To further pursue and before we commit, we will need some people who have organized container shipments to get involved.  I'll be reaching out to people I think may have experience, but anyone with advice, please contact me.

I just re-read your note, and the first full weekend of October is different than Columbus Day.  Here are the worlds dates:

2021 World Championship BERMUDA. Dates announced

2021 World Championship

Tues Oct 26 – 27 Registration

Thurs Oct 28 – 29 PreWorlds

Sun Oct 31 – Fri Nov 5 Worlds

Sat Nov 6 Containers Packed

That might be enough time.  I need to look into this more deeply, but 3 weeks is still a short period of time for container and sea transport.  We have had US containers miss the worlds on two occasions (huge bummer to a bunch of teams), so we need to be conservative with this.
