Region One Coordinator

As most of you know, I was named American Section President this
summer at NAs. With this, we have had to find a new regional
coordinator. The fleet capatains within the region (Marblehead, Rye,
Saunderstown) voted on a new coordinator and I am excited to report
that Sol Marini is the man! I think this is great news for the region
and I look forward to working with Sol to continue the upward growth
that we have seen.

Thanks for the reintroduction Drew.

And for my first task, I'd like to remind everyone about the great
events we have coming up.

The East Coast Championships are Sept 19-21 at West River, one of my
favorite place to sail. This should be a great event, and fall is the
perfect time to sail on the Bay. Please send in your registration,
and let Macy know that you are coming.

For anyone not going to the worlds, the HPDO at American Yacht club
(Oct 11-12) is a great event and showcase for the 505 fleet. This
regatta is growing every year, and this year should be no different.

The last event on the calendar is in Hampton Nov 8-9, which is a great
way to end the season.

If you need help getting to these event (crew, boats, transportation),
let me know and I'll try to help coordinate.
Please let the organizers of the events know your plans, it makes the
planning much easier.

Do you have the contacts for each of the fleet captains handy?   The int505.org->fleet link does not have the contact info   http://www.usa505.org/index.php?module=PostWrap&page=http://www.usa505.org/usa/usfleets/fletmain.htm

Check out the bottom of the contacts page (left menu of the page below
the fleets link) as the fleet contacts are there. Looks like the
Marblehead fleet is missing on that page, but I will get it added.
