Make sure the PCC's are on your race calendar this Spring. They're the
weekend after Seattle NOOD in charming,picturesque, BREEZY, Port
Townsend. There will be camping available on a first come basis. We're
working on getting some volunteer housing for competitors from the
great folks at Port Townsend Sailing Assoc. (ptsail.org). And there
are many fine hotels and B&B's in town. See ptguide.com

NOTICE OF RACE

The Port Townsend Sailing Association
will host the
2010 International 505 Dinghy Pacific Coast Championship Regatta
at
Fort Worden State Park in Port Townsend, Washington

Description: The event will be a one-design regatta sailed in the
exciting International 505 Dinghy class. It will include from six to
twelve races sailed over three days on Port Townsend Bay under the
Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS). There will be shore-side activities
including a barbeque at Fort Worden Beach on Sunday evening. The
awards ceremony will take place Monday afternoon.

Dates and times: Saturday, May 22nd through Monday, May 24th, 2010.
Racing will commence no earlier than noon on Saturday and be completed
by 3:30 p.m. on Monday.

Launch site: North of the Marine Science Center Pier, Fort Worden
State Park.

Shore facility: Kitchen Shelter at Fort Worden State Park Beach.

Race course area: East of Fort Worden State Park Beach, South of
Point Wilson and West of the Southbound Puget Sound commercial traffic
lane.

Alternate race course area: Within Townsend Bay, southwest of Point
Hudson and northeast of Marrowstone Island.

Race committee: Port Townsend Sailing Association.

Attendance: 20 to 30 yachts are expected to attend the regatta.
Competitors are expected to come from California, Oregon, British
Columbia, and England.

Sponsors: Port Townsend Rigging, Port Townsend Sails and Canvas,
Quantum Sails, Amazon.com, West Marine Products, Port Townsend Sailing
Association.
