Just forwarding this out to a wider audience. Ethan is right in that
it is time to start thinking about Midwinters. I've heard rumors of
some new faces for this event, and some other faces making the trip
that haven't in the past. Not to mention the 2008 European Champion
will be there!! Shaping up to be another great event. Please let
Ethan know if you are even thinking of making the trip.

505 Teams,
We are starting to prepare for the 2009 505 Midwinters to be held
again off the beautiful beaches of Fort Desoto in St. Petersburg, FL.
And we have the St. Pete Multiclass Regatta as a warm up also. The
pertinent dates are:
January 2-4 Informal training session, St. Pete Sailing Center
January 9-11 St. Petersburg YC Multi-class Regatta, St. Pete Sailing Center
February 6-8 505 2009 Midwinters, Fort Desoto, St. Petersburg
Further training weeks can be set pending interest and dates for truck
shipment to NY
Attached is the list from last year. Please get back to me to
indicate that you are coming, what boat, what teammate, and if you
need housing, what type of beer you prefer, etc. You can also sign up
to arm wrestle with Clayton or Drew.

hold 4 505's packed sea-container style. I will be using this rig to
go cross country in August but am looking to have a practice run this
winter to sort out the specifics. If you are interested in helping me
sort out how this is going to work, and need to get your boat down for
Midwinters, please respond to me with your interest.
I would drive the trailer down for Midwinters and return depending on
events planned post midwinters and the desires of those involved.
