I am passing this on from Patrick Gale who posted it on the UK 505 Sailing WhatsApp group.
Good morning all ,
A bit sad news , Les Everett passed away yesterday lunch time ,
He was living in the Mountbatten care home in Windsor for the last few years .
His health was slowly deteriorating, once he got a bad infection in his legs, things got worse very quickly,
He was never the same once Janet died,
But if I could get him on the subject of 5o5s he was back in the room ,
Telling me his boat was tied up in the roof of his garage , and asking where the worlds were this year .
Once I started to throw names in the conversation he was of,telling stories like was last week.
He had a good life, but still a loss of a lovely man .
