I am an owner at The Mooring Townhomes.
Am I supposed to receive a questionaire to fill out? If so, I would like one.
Also, I would like to be included when sessions are scheduled to give my feedback as an owner.
A little about myself.... I live out of town, but purchased my unit back in 2015 as a second home, so that during the winter and summer months, I could be closer to family in Hermosa Beach where I grew up. One stipulation that I confirmed before my purchase of my unit, was that I would be allowed to rent out my place, long, or short term, based on the city's stipulations. Renting my home out a portion of the year has allowed me to afford it, and create a safe space for me and my children to come home, visit family, and make memories. I deeply hope that this will not change in the new CCR's as I am very concerned.
As a side note, I do not rent my home out often. It is usually left vacant for many months. When I do have a potential tenant, I scrutinize the situation carefully and take great concern and consideration in that possible renter, because I care about the tranquility of our community, and my neighbors. Plus, I do not want anyone trashing my lovely home.
However, I do agree that the CCR's need to be updated so that we are protected as a community of home owners against any litigation that could arise in general.
For example..... there are many dogs of different breeds and sizes across the property. Many go against what the CCR's say are legal to have. This should also be updated to reflect the current situation of animals that live within our complex for safety of others and potential litigation.
